In the modern business environment experts from different specialties should have thorough knowledge and skills in the humanities, basic and professional disciplines. Mastering the basics of financial science increases the skills of future specialists - financiers and helps in the development and adoption of optimal solutions for building an effective financial policy and financial activity of subjects of entities. Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance is a subdivision of Economics and Law Institute activities which is aimed at forming the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the cycle of financial disciplines.

The department is graduating and provides training in a wide range of educational degrees 072 specialties "Finance, banking and insurance" and 075 "Marketing".

Graduates possessing modern methods of diagnostics of financial and economic situations, working in enterprises public and private sectors of the national economy, including banks, insurance companies, consulting companies and centers of economic and market research, led by the economic and financial services companies research and design institutions , hold office for financial managers specialties of financial and economic security, taxes and fees, auditors, financial analysts, consultants, marketing and more.

The basis of the department is its staff, consisting of teachers of high skill level who are active in research activities and have practical experience in the department . There are 4 Doctor of Economics, 3 of them have the title of Professor, 9 PhD, 3 of them are academic with the title of associate professor, 2 senior teachers. Research and teaching staff of the department directs its efforts at identifying, developing and supporting gifted and talented students, promotes their scientific work through involvement in research activities. In order to implement intellectual abilities and practical skills of students in the Department established and successfully operates students` scientific discussion club "Scientific kvadrium."

Faculty administer industrial practice at the enterprises and organizations of Kiev regional union of consumer cooperatives and public organizations and private companies.

 The department uses both traditional and advanced learning technologies, using specialized classrooms. Classrooms are equipped with modern information department, technical systems and means of visual learning. Educational material resources department constantly updated, which improves the quality and level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of KKIBL students.
